Kube’s ‘Concise Lives’ series comprises three richly illustrated biographies, by Edoardo Albert, of renowned figures in Islamic history: Al Ghazali, Ibn Sina (Avicenna) and Ibn Battuta. My brief was to provide cover designs and full page layouts for each, along with a series of maps illustrating the subject’s travels and the geopolitics of the times.
